All Employers are now required to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment.

In the past many employers relied on their Fire Certificate to show that they were in compliance with legislation, with the imminent advent of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, Fire Certificates will be axed.

Due in part to a recent government information campaign setting out the changes, the recent trend has been toward undertaking Fire assessment.

This is already a requirement and it will become crystallized in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, which is due to come into effect in October 2006.
