Safety Validation & Certification Level 1 Qualification

Course Aim

To introduce candidates, who work at height during their work activities, to the hazards and risks associated with working at height and the methods of reducing and controlling the risks by safe working practices.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course successful candidates will be able to:

• Identify the main hazards associated with working at height
• Demonstrate the principles of risk assessment
• State the principles for controlling risks and apply these in a practical context – working at height assessment
• Understand the hierarchy of selection of access equipment and the methodology of inspection and safe use of ladders, steps, trestles, access towers

Certification & Assessment

Assessment The candidates are continuously assessed for their understanding and participation in the course and are expected to pass a short objective test. Certification Safety Validation and Certification
