Course Aim
Currently looking for work or fancy the challenge of a new career? Getting A Job is a four-stage course designed to identify which job might for you – and how to go about getting it!
Course Contents
- The Right Job for you. We all have very different skills and personalities. Getting A Job begins by helping you to identify your own strengths and weaknesses and matching these jobs that might suit you.
- Looking for jobs. Once you have a clear idea of what sort of job you are looking for Getting A Job helps you to find it! This section offers plenty of practical advice such as where jobs might be advertised, how to read between the lines of a job advert – and even how to work out how much you will earn!
- Applying for Jobs. This section concentrates on how to make your application stand out from
the crowd! Learn how to write a basic CV, how to fill out an application form and what sort of language to use in a covering letter. - Interviews. From how to give that all-important first impression to answering tricky questions, this section will guide you through the whole interview process
Course Objectives
The activities in Getting A Job practise and develop those reading, writing, speaking, listening and number skills identified as being involved in the process of identifying the right job, applying for a job and attending an interview.
Getting a Job will give you the confidence and skills to search for and secure the right job for you.
