Course Aim
Having improved their word skills, candidates are able go on and gain a qualification to prove it! They will work towards a Certificate in Adult Literacy, a nationally recognised qualification. To gain the certificate they will have to pass a short test. To help candidates build their confidence prior to taking the test there is a short preparation course available.
Course Contents
This course aims to inform just what is expected during the test. It is divided into two parts, “How To Do The Test” and “Practice”. “How To Do The Test” explains how to prepare and tackles any questions or problems that may arise. It looks in detail at the types questions asked and how to complete them. It also explains what help is available should a problem crop up. The “Practice” section gives the chance at trying some practice questions, There is also an opportunity to work through past tests which have multiple choice questions to answer. Candidates are able to track their progress on screen throughout the course.
Course Objectives
On completion of the course the candidate will be able to:
- Know when they are ready to take the test
- Know what to expect during the test, both online and written
- Know what to do if they require additional help
- Know more about the content of the test by completing practice questions and past tests
- Complete a test both online and written
- Know what support is available during the test
- Know what they need to take with them to the test
- Deal with problems before, during and after the test
